Life in our Home
Today The day begins early between 5 and 6 am, when the Sisters arise and start their morning prayers before beginning their work for the day. The Sisters and staff work side by side in all aspects of the day’s activities to ensure the needs of the Residents are met. This is done in a comfortable home-like setting. The Residents are assisted with bathing, personal care and dressing to prepare them for breakfast in the dining room.
Following breakfast the Residents participate in a variety of activities such as: group exercise, physical and occupational therapy, crafts, visits to the hairdresser and culminating in the daily Rosary and Mass.
The Residents, sometimes joined by family, are served their midday meals. They then spend the afternoon socializing, playing cards, bingo, go on outings or rest in their rooms.
The late afternoon Rosary is followed by supper. The Residents then enjoy evening activities such as watching movies and family visits before retiring for the day.
The Sisters end their day with evening prayer, their supper, a time of recreation together and then night prayer.
