Our Residents are the heart and soul of our Home. They depend on the kindness of the friends of the Little Sisters of the Poor. You are the ones who give them the opportunity to live in a Home that is a loving space, with the environment of a close knit family.

Your Gift is Essential
Gifts are essential in helping our Home meet the needs of our Residents. Without your help, we would be unable to serve our community of needy elderly. There are many ways that you can help:

Operating Fund
As one can imagine, the day to day cost of operating a large facility and providing for the elderly poor who have outlived their resources, can be quite costly. Reimbursement from Medicaid covers less than one third of the actual cost of care. The cost of caring for the elderly poor in a manner respectful of their dignity far exceeds the income received from the Resident’s pensions, Social Security or Medicaid. You can donate to the Operating Fund through gifts of cash, checks, credit cards, stocks, bonds, or other liquid assets. Your gift can be made in annual installments, semi-annual installments, or quarterly installments over a period of up to three years.

Planned Giving
Plan to make a difference in the lives of the elderly poor by including the Little Sisters of the Poor in your will or estate planning. Bequests have been one of the most meaningful sources of funds for the ministry of the Little Sisters of the Poor. Through the foresight and generosity of others, the Little Sisters are able to continue serving the elderly needy in humble service. Estate gifts can be made through a variety of vehicles: your will, a living trust, a charitable remainder trust, a life insurance beneficiary and other simple options. In addition, there may be tax benefits that come from your gift. Planning ahead can benefit you as well as the Little Sisters.
