We Little Sisters are excited to relaunch our live in volunteer program, Spring into Service, under a new name and format!

Visitatio! will offer college-age Catholic women the opportunity for brief immersion experiences in various houses of the Little Sisters of the Poor around the United States.

These week-long visits to our communities will include time for prayer and discernment, service to the elderly, an experience of community life and spiritual accompaniment.

Visitatio! is Latin for visitation, as in Mary’s Visitation to her cousin Elizabeth. To visit means to hasten toward another, offering support and care. Visiting also means being welcomed as a guest, accepting hospitality, whether the host has much or little to offer.

As a participant in Visitatio! you will be invited to give the gift of yourself and you will discover the gifts that the elderly have to give!

Each of these locations is a Home of the Little Sisters of the Poor where the Sisters, our elderly Residents and our collaborators form a family in the Lord.

You will be provided with overnight accommodations, meals, bed linens and towels. You will be responsible for your transportation to the location where you will participate in the program.
